Sir, quick question! Do the 2012-2017 models have a gear shift indicator? If so, do you know where is it located at? It seems they do not have one? Thank you!

Outstanding review, Cruiseman! I'm 75, and my style of riding is definitely casual and comfortable. I have no need to go any faster than a GW would provide. The last two bikes I've owned were HD FLHTCU and FLHTK, but I like the feel of the GW's oversized footpegs better than the HD floorboards. I'm shopping for a pre-owned GW with a manual trans with less than 30K miles. Since I live in California, any bike I buy from out of state has to have at least 7500 miles on it. Probably to encourage us to buy in-state bikes. When I get the GW, I'll buy one of your T-shirts! Stay safe!

You can't "adjust" a hydraulic clutch unit. The clutch not engaging until the top of travel is likely because it is worn out. The revving at idle might because the coolant level is low. On a Honda car if the coolant is low the throttle body does not get the heat it needs to work properly. Not sure on that as I am a Honda Automotive tech but the theory is there. On my 2004 Wing I had to tear it down quite far to get to all the gear clamps it had to stop the coolant leaks. Had the fuel cell out and everything to get to the clamps. I think it had 32 clamps in total Crazy. Overall still love this bike enough to buy it twice...

Had the same issue with my 2018 GW DCT last year , all I did was drill 2 holes into the filter wrench in two areas enough room to sink in some 3/4 self tapping screws into the filter wrench and filter,thankfully it was enough grab to spin it off

Regarding your RANT; I'm sorry to say you were way to KIND. That said, I thought it was very good. By the way, I don't own a Goldwing yet, I ride a 2012 BMW R1200RT. If everything goes as planned, I should have a new Goldwing next year once I sell the RT. Thanks for all you do for Goldwing owners.

I must be old fashion: I purchased a 2024 Goldwing DCT tour air bag, Itis white and black (a lot of black) I thought the blacked-out finish look I would get used to?? The more I look at if the more I don’t like it, at least the exhaust could be brush chrome or something other than black. I am thinking what I can do go get some of the black off without looking strange.

I could not disagree more with your option of the 6th gen GL. I think it sucks compared to the 5th gen GL of which I have owned three of them.

Just watched your Crown and Comments. Just completed my second complete oil change with both filters. As I noted, this is my second oil change event. The neat thing is I'm using AMSOIL METRIC 10W 30 oil. The DCT is noticeable quieter. A friend who purchased a new 2018 Gold Wing DCT Tour noticed the same thing with the AMSOIL. I purchased my 2020 Used from folks in Tennessee as well. Good experience.

These are on the wing i bought and i am not impressed at all. Reading here the complaints tracing back to poor production quality are not a good advert for the company.

There was one incident just a few days ago here in Scandinavia with a 23 model. He claims that the speed was just aprx 3-4 miles and that he hit some uneven part of the road

From my observations, GW riders are less likely to abuse their bikes, like many V-twin or sportbike riders. I've heard Jerry Paladino say that GW's with the DCT are more difficult to control during slow speed maneuvers, so I'm going to make sure I buy one with a standard clutch transmission, even if it means having to buy one from 2017 or earlier. One of us isn't comfortable with gizwheels and diodes, so I let the Shops do mine (expensive, yes). But I can see how these helpful presentations could be a big help.

I can connect Cardo Edege, bike TFT and phone, but I lose music, voice commands and voice recorder on the phone. Opened a Cardo support case and they said connect only Cardo and phone. So leaving the bike out. There must be a better solution

I have been in that dealership quite a few times before an after they upgraded. The grand opening for the new place was in the middle of the shortage. Everything I looked at in the showroom at the grand opening was sold. They made deals to keep them to not have an empty showroom on the grand opening.

My 2018 bagger does have forward and reverse walking speeds as well as heated grips. It does NOT have TPMS value readouts as you claimed over a year ago: only the alarm condition for underinflated tire pressure, Love my videos and your online blogs. Bought a normal 2024 Rebel 1100 DCT a few weeks ago. My first ever bike i bought on my own. 600 miles on it already. The thing practically drives itself. I love it, cant say enough good things about it. The seat is the only downside IMO. I do cycling and sit at a desk for long hours so i can take sitting for long periods. After about 40 minutes i start feeling some discomfort, but i can easily push thru a 3 hour ride just by stopping once to stretch/gas. I will be getting a new seat to make it a little more comfy on longer rides. But besides that, this bike is so damn fun. I've never rode any type of cruiser bike, but this thing feels very sport to me. I'm 5'11" so I lean slightly forward on the bike. But I like that feeling of being on a smaller bike. Makes me like i have full control over the bike on winding roads. Not to mention, no clutch riding in city traffic is something i didn't realize would so nice. Love my bike!

Sirius used to have a free version with adds, they got greedy and took that away. Pandora is an alternative to Sirius, they have a free version with ads, and the ads are not overwhelming like a lot of other services.

I’m a new rider and my adult sons are overprotective. I also want to focus on being safe on the road. Just installed this on my helmets and I will say very easy to install. The on button could be easier to use, but extra visibility to distracted drivers is a no brainer. I am quite impressed by how well this is made. Ride safe everyone. And for those who say it’s too expensive..:: I will say that personal safety and protecting you and your bike is well worth the money. Truly the cost of this is less than an emergency room co-pay.

A friend of mine says he drives with a hoodie up and a mask when he drives to try to get out of tickets by red light cameras saying it wasn't him driving... lol. Dumber? Maybe, I am not your age quite yet, so from my experience, we've always been stupid. Uglier? Not sure on that, thats completely subjective. I see pictures or videos of years ago and people dressing "nice" all the time and I think they look silly.

love my Rebel 1100 overall... have a 2021, and its still going great. Only thing I really dislike is that it uses a chain... making it a pain for distance riding. If you are on an interstate doing 70+ you will barely break 100 miles on a tank of gas. If you want to break 150 you have to be on the slower back roads. Mine is better than the 1100T model. I have the normal one and changed the muffler, put two larger symmetrical saddlebags, and a better fairing... and a better seat. Being I am only 5 feet tall, its very comfortable. If it didn't have a chain, and had a larger gas tank, it would be perfect.

Just boughtl an 84 Interstate 45000 miles $2400.00 delivered to my door from 2.5 hrs away with a trailer. Guy was very nice. Bike came with new tires, new battery and new windshield. I'm a happy camper. Bought it sight unseen. Thinking I'll be replacing the timing belts soon. Gauges are not faded, paint is shiny wine red. All lights are clear and in good working order. Front shocks felt a little stiff on track level 3 so I set them to 1 and rides like a dream. There are a few scratches bit hey, it's a survivor. Chrome looks good. The rubber on the left front peg slipped off somewhere when I was riding it so ai have one coming from ebay along with a used seat because this one had a small tear. It starts as quick as the bike in the video. All fluids were changed. I bought it for something to ride while I'm changing rhe clutch out on my 2000 BMW K1200 LT. The bike does not have a radio but I use my helmet Bluetooth to play Spotify from my phone. I'll need to put a charge receptacle somewhere. He said.he was selling to cover a vet operation bill for his dog. I passed up Yamaha VMax $4000 and a Honda V65 Magna $3000 for this bike. Just seemed like the best bang for the buck. Also had a front seat back rest. I've been polishing up the aluminum with some blue magic bit my favorite would be jeweler's roush...don't know how you spell. All my repair videos are free on RUclips. I just Google them and they are free to watch. No need to give money yo some guy trying to make a profit off people that need help.
